1. Champ de Mars 🇫🇷❤️

Best for: Eiffel Tower views

If you want the classic Paris experience, it's hard to beat Champ de Mars. The large green lawns stretch directly towards the Eiffel Tower, creating one of the most recognisable picnic views in the city.

It's especially beautiful in the late afternoon and evening, when the light begins to change and the Eiffel Tower becomes the centrepiece of the experience.

Perfect for: anniversaries, first trips to Paris, proposals and romantic evenings.

Our tip: For a more intimate experience, choose a quieter part of the lawns rather than sitting directly in the busiest area.

If you prefer something a little more elegant and peaceful, Parc Monceau is one of our favourite choices.

With its beautiful architecture, trees, statues, water and distinctive Parisian atmosphere, the park feels completely different from the open space of Champ de Mars.

It's a particularly beautiful setting for couples who want a romantic picnic without having the Eiffel Tower as the main focus.

3. Trocadéro 🌅🗼

Best for: panoramic Eiffel Tower views

Trocadéro offers one of the most spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower. From the gardens and viewpoints around the Palais de Chaillot, you can enjoy an impressive panorama across the Seine towards the tower.

It's particularly beautiful around sunset, when the sky changes colour behind the Eiffel Tower.

The riverbanks offer countless places to sit, slow down and watch Paris go by. Some sections feel surprisingly intimate, especially later in the day when the crowds begin to thin out.

Our tip: Look around Pont Neuf, Île de la Cité and the quieter sections of the riverbanks.

If you're already exploring the Louvre, you don't have to go far to find a beautiful place for a picnic.

The area around the Louvre and Tuileries offers a completely different atmosphere — grand architecture, gardens, fountains and some beautiful views for photographs.
